| About me

My formation as a doctor was influenced by Russian and Israeli medical schools. I want to express my deepest and warmest gratitude to the people with whom fate and profession brought me together – my teachers, outstanding cardiologists.

Andrey Kuimov (professor, for many years has been the head of the faculty therapy clinic of the Novosibirsk Medical University) instilled in me a love for the profession with his lectures. His approach is distinguished by special algorithmic thinking and high medical efficiency. I learned the basics of cardiological knowledge from Radislav Zherebyatyev, an excellent diagnostician who at that time was teaching cardiology at the Department of Hospital Therapy.

I was greatly influenced by my meeting and joint scientific work with Professor Rina Mikhailovna Zaslavskaya (Moscow). The owner of encyclopedic medical knowledge, advanced views and medical intuition, she amazed with her fundamentally new understanding of the disease as a dynamic process. Professor Zaslavskaya is a pioneer in introducing the principles of chronomedicine into the clinic, a science that uses knowledge about the biological rhythms of the human body to optimize the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

In Israel, many years of joint work connected me with Mervyn Gotsman. Professor Gotsman is an internationally renowned cardiologist, honorary member of the American and European Association of Cardiology, and has been Israel’s chief cardiologist for many years. He is one of the organizers and participant of the world’s first heart transplant program; one of the founders of invasive cardiology in Israel (coronary angiography and methods of intravascular treatment of heart disease). Professor Gotsman has trained a whole galaxy of leading specialists holding key positions in cardiology in the world and in our country.

Professors Jonathan Hasin is distinguished by exceptional medical intuition, ability to see imperceptible details, accuracy of diagnosis, sharpness and dynamism of solutions, virtuoso catheterization technique, special efficiency and the ability to never give up.

Professor Chaim Lotan has been the head of our cardiology institute for 20 years. A brilliant physician, a talented organizer and teacher, he is an example of a new generation of physicians. He is always looking for an explanation of a particular medical situation, develops applied and academic cardiology, constantly introduces new approaches and technologies. Today he is certainly one of the best in Israel in his specialty.
